Discover the color wheel and its mixing magic. Learn the simple truth about soft edges and hard edges; how to make them and when to use them. There are only four methods of applying watercolor to paper, and all of them will be covered in this class.

The left hemisphere of your brain analyzes things like perspective, proportion and time management. The right hemisphere of your brain has the superior ability to process visual information. Learn how to use both hemispheres to their best advantage.
Some exercises from Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, by Betty Edwards will be used, as well as more traditional drawing exercises from many sources.

Paint landscapes by learning how to render clouds, water, trees and grass fields. Learn ways of achieving the optical illusion of depth. Continue your study of color. Warm primaries will be added to the cool palette used in Beginning Watercolor for an explosion of new mixing possibilities.

March 30           Watercolor Crash Course! at LaGrange Art Museum.
Saturday, 12:30-4:30    Subject: Callaway Gardens Chapel                  Like the other Watercolor Crash Course subjects, this painting is for beginning students, however it is slightly more challenging. You will learn several wet-in- wet techniques and wet-on-dry techniques, as well as learning how to mix colors from a simple primary palette of red, yellow and blue, the classic way of mixing color.
